Welcome to The Village Learning Center, a place where young children and older adults come together to share stories, smiles, and meaningful moments. We believe that the best learning happens through relationships across ages, experiences, and stages of life.

Our intergenerational approach nurtures empathy, confidence, and community while providing high-quality care for children and enriching purpose for older adults. Our whole-child approach includes a unique intergenerational program that brings young and old together in a stimulating co-learning environment.  As children and seniors share memories, play games, and create together, an unmistakable bond forms that transcends generations.  Children learn to think beyond their small worlds and Seniors feel a new sense of purpose.  For children who do not live near their own grandparents, this connection can be especially poignant and meaningful.  Because of our convenient shared location, The Village Learning Center offers children and seniors daily opportunities to interact and build friendships through staff-supervised activities.

Our Community

Being located right in downtown Cedar Springs gives us a special connection to the heart of our community. We’re fortunate to regularly mingle with our neighbors and build meaningful relationships through fun and engaging activities. From playing games and learning alongside our local police officers, to hosting festive Halloween costume parades, caroling at Christmas, and welcoming visits from Santa Claus, there’s always something bringing us together. Our community shows us just as much love in return; whether it’s donuts from the local gas station, Halloween candy, meals from nearby restaurants or even just a friendly shout and wave as we walk around town. These moments of connection and kindness make our community truly feel like family.
